Kitchens have always been my preferred room to design, as there's a huge range of elements to design and get creative with. Don't get me wrong, kitchens are notoriously difficult and challenging to design and get right. But when they are done right they can become the highlight and focal point of the house. My love for black is something that I most definitely have not kept hidden here on the blog and so this week's 'Shop The Look' is combining the two together.

Now this isn't an article showcasing gorgeous black kitchens, because as stunning as they look, the majority of you aren't probably planning on shopping an entirely new kitchen. What I have done, is put together a list of various small elements, black in colour, which will be able to fit in seamlessly with many existing kitchen designs.

Black is a versatile colour which can work with a wide range of colour schemes. It's a timeless classic which adds a perfect touch of elegance and sophistication to any interior. I know that black as a colour can be quite overwhelming and overpowering, but small details and touches is a brilliant way to start embracing and incorporating black into an interior.
