I'm kinda loving rugs at the moment. I've spent the past couple of days checking out the rug market and seeing what's out there and so I thought I'd put together a little mood board showcasing some of hottest rugs that I think are out there.
Blue is my colour of the year and so naturally I have been drawn to the beautiful blue rugs. Neutral coloured rugs were all the rage for the past couple of years but this year is all about embracing the bold and the colour. While blue rugs do bring out the bold, what I love most about them is that they still manage to retain an element of neutrality.
There are many ways you can style your rugs, with many people choosing to make their rugs the main focal point of the room. A rug will help enhance an Interior and a well made traditional rug can actually set the whole tone of a design scheme. What I really love about rugs is the textures. Contrasting or complimenting textures work amazingly well in Interiors and helps the designer create that perfect level of balance. Coloured rugs used in a neutral Interior can help provide subtle colour tones to the room.
So here are my top picks of Blue rugs. Check them out and let me know what you think of them.
